11am – The third week in our teaching series, ‘Your Kingdom Come’ - Living out the Lord’s Prayer everyday.

 

Please join us for tea/coffee @ Fellowship Time in Kirk Cara after this morning’s service.

Tuesday 1st October – Brotherhood (Men’s Group) – to be held once a month in the Youth Room. From 7.30-9pm for all 11-111yr old guys.

 

Wednesday 2nd October – COW for all those in P7 – Yr14. From 3.30-5.30pm.

 

Saturday 5th October – Christian Aid’s Strangford Sportive – A cycle event leaving from Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh. Choose from a 50mile, 25mile or ‘family friendly’ 2.5mile route and raise money for Christian Aid. Minimum donation £20 per adult and £5 per child. Looking Ahead

 

Tuesday 8th October @ 7.30pm – The first week of ‘The Parenting Children Course’ in Knock Presbyterian. For parents of 0 - 10year olds. Saturday 12th October – Irish Women’s Convention entitled ‘Transforming Truth’ in the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre. With speakers: Ann Benton & Kathleen Nielson. Places must be pre booked. Pick up a flyer from the foyer for further details and speak to Linda Cardy if you would like to share lifts.

 

HARVEST this year is Sunday 13th October. We will be decorating the sanctuary and preparing fruit baskets & flowers for our members who are housebound on the Saturday morning 10am-1pm. All help would be greatly appreciated (coffee & scones will be served). Please leave donations of flowers & fruit in the foyer on Friday or early Saturday morning. Thank you. Saturday 19th October - The Ben Clark Foundation Gala Ball @ 7.30pm in the Ramada Hotel Belfast.  Including a 3 Course Dinner and Dancing until late. Tickets £35, from Ian & Pamela Clark - 9065 9626 or Barbara Hume - 07789 4659484.

 

Mon 28th & Tues 29th October – Half Term Scheme for 5-11 year olds. Places are limited and booking is necessary. For further information please see the poster on the foyer notice board.

 

Saturday 16th November - Presbyterian Women regional roadshow on the theme ‘Going Deeper’. The Belfast event will be held in Assembly Buildings. The event will run from 10.30am–12.30pm, with refreshments being made available from 9.45am. As always, all women are welcome.  Groups should book places two weeks in advance of their preferred venue, please book through the PW Office.

VOLUNTEER NOW! - We are looking for volunteers to help out with a community half term scheme on Mon 28th and Tues 29th October. If you wish to volunteer or find out more info please speak to Andrew.

 

YOUTH WEEKEND – ONLINE BOOKING NOW OPEN! - for anyone Yr 8 and up. Bring your friends!!!

 

STOREHOUSE APPEAL - Please remember to pick up an extra bit of shopping this week and bring it along to church for Storehouse. This week’s most needed items are tinned potatoes, biscuits, tinned dessert, tinned fruit & pasta sauce.

 

A Time for Quiet Reflection & Prayer – Kirk Cara is open every Friday between 11am and 1pm for quiet time. Coffee & tea available in the foyer. Why not take a little time to be still with God?
