Storehouse
Storehouse partners with many different charities and agencies throughout Belfast, who work day in and day out with families and individuals in difficult situations.
Through these partnerships Storehouse forms connections with those most genuinely in need. Often, through no fault of their own, or through poor choices, they've found themselves caught in cycles of poverty that seem impossible to break. Storehouse aims to help break those cycles by providing emergency food packages for a set period of time.
As a charity, Storehouse exists to be a real solution for those individuals and families, throughout Belfast and beyond, who have no safety net. Storehouse was launched by Belfast City Vineyard Church in 2008. Through Storehouse the church sought to demonstrate God's heart of unconditional love for all. We believe it is God's desire that no one, regardless of religion, race, lifestyle or background, should have to go hungry.
Since 2008 over 20 churches, schools and businesses have become involved with Storehouse as we continue to see the most vulnerable in our communities loved and served. To date we have provided for over 5000 households all across our city and beyond. We continue to hope for a future where no one in our communities has to go hungry.
Currently we support Storehouse through our weekly food collection ( over 0.6 tonnes per year collected by Stormont). Our plan is to develop this support with members becoming actively involved with the Storehouse charity.
